Left Omalo at 9:30, after setting up a jeep rental for the 18th. Today was supposed to be real easy and short. It wasn't. The scenery was very nice with spectacular views all around of mountains and valleys in between. The altitude was about 2000m and above.
We stopped for lunch at a deserted (off season it seems) place called Bochorma.
After that we proceeded to the destination of the day: Ducho. We saw it from up above, which is rather painful as tomorrow is a 900m or so altitude gain, that could have been less had we not had to descend probably about 200m to reach Ducho.

This wasn't the disappointing part. What was, was the fact that there was only one house available, which dared call itself a "hotel". The "rooms" looked awful with a bad smell and scabies infected bedding possibly/likely.
presidential suit
The six of us debated our options:
1. Stay. Moti was vehemently against it, saying he couldn't eat the food there. He actually is not spoiled at all.
2. Head back to the trail (about 1 hour up) and then hike to the next place (1-1.5 hours). But no guarantee that there's anyone there.
3. Try to make a call and have a jeep drive us from the trail to the next place.
Eli and Yulia strongly supported staying. Moti, as mentioned, strongly opposed staying. Assaf was so so about it, and Sharon and I weren't too happy to stay, but couldn't see a reasonable alternative. Ultimately, we decided to stay.
The room situation: three rooms: one horrific (smell), the second pretty bad (can't even describe), and third just crap. So we all decided to share the one crap room, which has two single beds.
Sleeping arrangement: Yulia and Eli - one single bed. Sharon and I the second single bed, Assaf and Moti - mattresses on the floor.
Electricity: none to charge stuff
Water: no running drinking water (requires a bit of a dangerous hike to reach the stream)
Shower: actually exists.
Food: freshly made bread (huge plus). We decided to skip the meat in the jar that was laying in there for longer than eternity probably.. We had loads of potatoes in a lot of butter. As desert the guy brought us freshly squeezed milk (that he literally milked just for us on the spot). I just had a taste..
Before bad we had a few rounds of Yaniv.
Note: My phone ran out of battery and it appears the new external battery pack doesn't work:( so tomorrow no phone camera :(
