Breakfast took place on the last (4th) floor in a small dining room with a lovely view and atmosphere. The food itself was not particularly varied, with only a handful of veggies. What was missing in health was made up for in little Godly Nutella packs combined with delicious small crepes..
Leaving hotel around noon, today was for the most part an errands day. Starting with getting sim cards ($20 for 5GB), getting a road map and hiking maps at this Geomap store, which has all the maps one can ever wish for. Next, we headed out for a late lunch around 17:00 at a local Georgian restaurant by the short name of Shemoikhede Genatsvale GMC Group. The veal stew was fantastic, the meat dumplings were great except for their filling, and the cheese coated mushrooms were real crap.
As we walked around we noticed a mixture of nice areas with really beaten up ones, yet it's all clean. Google maps was of great help as it successfully lead us through small allies and such. We ran into a portrait graffiti of Stalin... The folks here barely know any English.
Finally, arrived back at the hotel around 20:00. The hotel is situated at a great location right next to the river, and with a view to the walls of the old city up on the hill near by. The room itself, as we have learned, has some sewage issues, which at times made me wish I had packed my gas mask...
Eat more of the local food like Hachapuri and stuff....
